About

My name is Aidan Phillips and I am an Architecture major at UTA (University of Texas at Arlington). There are many things I enjoy, like sports, drawing, exploring, nature, and so much more. I was raised in Wills Point, Texas and now live in Arlington as a full-time student. After school I hope to pursue a career as an architect and eventually start my own firm. I am currently a sophomore at UTA and am hoping to even pursue a masters degree here at the same university. Soon after I plan to design houses as a Residential Architect and hopefully start an amazing family.

As of right now, my current relationship with reading is not very strong at all. I am not really an avid fan of reading if i’m being completely honest. However, I am enjoying the American Literature class I am currently enrolled in. So my perspective may change after this coming semester. The series of books that got me into reading at a young age was the “Percy Jackson” series by author Rick Riordan. I loved the mythology and the heroism behind the whole concept of Greek mythology. After that particular series I read every book written by Rick Riordan, and that is how my reading journey began.

  • In the 5th grade I won 3rd place at the regional UIL competition for Oral Reading.
  • I absolutely love the “Percy Jackson” Series.
  • My favorite book of all time is “Where the Red Fern Grows”.
  • The strangest book I’ve ever read was “The Dead Poetry Society”.
  • I love books about fictional characters with supernatural powers.

“Don’t feel bad, I’m usually about to die at this part.”

Rick Riordan, “Percy Jackson: The Battle of the Labyrinth”

“I looked at his grave and, with tears in my eyes, I voiced these words: You were worth it old friend, and a thousand times over.”
